A special edition of the insane Brabus Rocket 900 has just been introduced at the ongoing Dubai International Motor Show 2015.
This new Rocket 900 Desert Gold Edition has a unique style and some extra flair over the standard Rocket 900. For starters, it has been painted in a shade dubbed Desert Gold with all of its additional aerodynamic components finished in carbon fibre. Additionally, the Desert Gold Edition rides on a set of gloss black Platinum Edition 21-inch wheels from Brabus itself and with gold pinstriping. Gold brake calipers are also featured.
It is useful to know that the standard model of the Brabus was based around the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG. The 6.0-litre V12 engine of the S65 AMG has been outfitted with a custom Brabus billet crankshaft complete with a longer stroke and larger cylinder bore. As a result, capacity has increased to 6.3-litres.
All told, the car pumps out 900 hp at 5500 rpm and 1106 lb-ft of torque at 4200 rpm. In order to protect the gearbox, torque has been limited to 884 lb-ft. Nevertheless, the car will still sprint to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and a 350 km/h top speed. In the cabin, the Brabus Rocket 900 Desert Gold Edition has a number of special elements including gold trim and black quilted leather.
